Prayer
Some may ask, “Just what is prayer?”
Prayer is a private time, a private conversation, between God and us.
We can express our needs to Him, thank Him for what He has done for us, pray for others and their needs, or just offer Him praise and worship.
All are forms of prayer.
Praying can be as simple as sitting and talking with a friend. Opening up your heart, and letting God know what’s on your mind, and then waiting for Him to answer you.
Don’t ever think that you don’t know the correct way to pray, I doubt there is a correct way of doing so. God just wants to hear from us, and He promises us, that He will answer. In His own way, and in His own time, but His answer will come.
Setting aside prayer time may be helpful to some. A quiet uninterrupted time to spend with God. Usually when your day starts, time spent with God will help you get on the right foot.
Thanking Him, and asking Him to guide you as you go through your day. Simply remembering Him, will be a blessing to you.
We spend time everyday talking to friends, family, co-workers, and total strangers…. And yet we sometimes forget to spend time with the one who loves us the most, our Heavenly Father. He promises us that He will never leave us, that He will always listen to us, and yet we find that it is He, who is often last on our list.
Today… set aside some prayer time. Thank Him for what he has done for you. Feel free to ask Him to help others you have on your prayer list, including your own personal needs. But most of all, just tell Him that you love Him.
